On Tap:
Ensuring Delaware's Fresh Water Supply
State of Delaware, Office of the Governor
During
the 100 year "record drought" of 2002, the Governor's
Office brought Remline on board to create a public information campaign
to inform citizens that our water supply is secure and we are ready
to face future droughts with an ample supply of water.
Among Remline's key strategies for getting the message to the people
included the development of reader-friendly, 24-page Summary Report
for decision-makers entitled, "2020 On Tap - Ensuring Delaware's
Fresh Water Supply." Another more concise and less complex
Poster/Brochure was targeted to interested citizens. To assist the
Governor's Staff in presentations and press events, a PowerPoint
Presentation was developed and supported by Presentation Boards
of key graphics. All mediums were heavily illustrated using creative
means of explaining the technical elements of water resources-sources,
demand, supply, storage and delivery.
To complete the information campaign, Remline developed and maintains
a website - www.DelawareWaterSupply.com.
The final effort included support for the Governor's Press Conference
at Hoopes Reservoir to launch the new public information materials.
The Conference resulted in positive publicity and praise for the
Administration's legacy of a planned, dependable fresh water supply
through the year 2020.
